Quentin joined Pentaho as CEO in October 2011 to aggressively lead the company through its next phase of growth. Quentin has a winning track record of scaling technology companies in high-growth markets over the last 20 years. He has extensive experience in data warehousing and data analytics serving as CEO at Aster Data, Pivot Link and Postini (chronologically). At Verisign (Nasdaq: VRSN), where he was EVP of worldwide sales and service for eight years, he helped scale the company from from $13 million in revenues in 1997 to more than a billion in revenues in 2004. Quentin also has proven leadership managing and growing Asia Pacific and Latin America markets from his key executive roles at Netscape Communications and then General Electric Company where he spent 12 years.
Kevin Eggleston leads the Hitachi Data Systems efforts for big data, social innovation and vertical industries. He is the organization's key interface for integration and alignment with Hitachi, Ltd. His responsibilities also include business planning, solution requirements, and aligned research and development.
Prior to his current role, Eggleston was SVP and general manager of Asia Pacific. During his 4 years in this role, the region's revenue nearly doubled. He joined Hitachi Data Systems in 2005 as Western Region vice president in the company's Americas sales division. He oversaw sales in a 20-state region and was credited with leading revenue growth and significant market share gains.
A seasoned professional of the storage industry with more than 30 years of experience, Eggleston spent 24 years at StorageTek: 12 years in the U.S. field in sales, sales management and branch management positions; and 12 years in international field positions including managing StorageTek business in Latin America and Asia South Pacific regions. He also managed U.S. and international regions for 2.5 years at BlueArc.
Eggleston holds a bachelors degree in International Business from the University of Colorado.
Sr. Vice President, Hitachi Data Systems
Mike (@mikeolson) co-founded Cloudera in 2008 and served as its CEO until 2013 when he took on his current role of chief strategy officer (CSO.) As CSO, Mike is responsible for Cloudera’s product strategy, open source leadership, engineering alignment and direct engagement with customers. Prior to Cloudera Mike was CEO of Sleepycat Software, makers of Berkeley DB, the open source embedded database engine. Mike spent two years at Oracle Corporation as vice president for Embedded Technologies after Oracle’s acquisition of Sleepycat in 2006. Prior to joining Sleepycat, Mike held technical and business positions at database vendors Britton Lee, Illustra Information Technologies and Informix Software. Mike has a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
Chief Strategy Officer, Cloudera
Saman Michael Far is Senior Vice President of Technology at FINRA, responsible for development of technologies to monitor financial markets, discover wrong doing and provide analytic visibility into over 60 billion market events received per day. Previously at FINRA, Saman was responsible for developing surveillance and regulation technology for the regulation of financial firms. Prior to FINRA Saman worked with venture capital firms to assess over 100 venture funded startups and where required manage the rebuilding of teams, productization core technology and maximization of total addressable market and valuations. In the 1990s was one of 4 key people that led Open Text Corporation from an early stage search engine pioneer through a successful NASDAQ IPO. Saman has a Bachelor's in Engineering Science and Master's in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science, focused on distributed real-time data processing.
Senior Vice President of Technology, FINRA
James Stascavage is head of engineering at Caterpillar Marine Asset Intelligence, responsible for development of leading-edge data analytics and remote monitoring software for the marine and naval defense industries. Caterpillar Marine Asset Intelligence enables clients to use all their data, including sensor and machine-generated data, to increase efficiency, reduce downtime, and reduce warranty expenses for shipping vessels. Prior to Caterpillar, Jim was VP of Engineering at Engineering Software Reliability Group (ESRG), which was acquired by Caterpillar in April 2015. Jim graduated from the Naval Postgraduate School with an MS in Computer Science.

Mike's research is focused on software technology, platforms, and practices that enable technology professionals to deliver prescient customer experiences and breakthrough operational efficiency. His key technology and platform coverage areas are big data strategy, Hadoop, advanced analytics, machine learning, data science practices, predictive apps design, and emerging technologies that make software faster and smarter. Mike is also a leading expert on the intersection of business strategy, architecture, design, and creative collaboration.
Principal Analyst, Forrester Research
Rosanne is responsible for Pentaho's strategic messaging, product marketing and lead generation. Rosanne is a seasoned marketing executive with over 20 years of results-driven marketing, management and finance experience in the high tech industry. Prior to Pentaho, Rosanne held senior positions at HP, Pivotlink, BEA Systems and Olliance Systems. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Stanford and received an MBA from University of Virginia.

Chris leads Pentaho's effort to define future market requirements and drive the next wave of innovation around governed, blended big data discovery and advanced analytics. Chris has decades of expertise in Predictive Analytics, Business Analytics and Big Data strategic initiatives crossing software, services and hardware. Prior to Pentaho he was VP of product strategy and growth initiatives for Business Analytics at IBM. He has previously held leadership roles in product management as VP at Cognos, Hyperion Solutions, and Crystal Reports as well as VP of product development at Business Objects.
